Batteries by Type
We’ve Got Chemistry
SLA
Sealed Lead Acid Batteries
These are usually smaller case sizes with flag type terminals, sealed cases, acid starved, and capacities of up to 30Ah. They can be mounted in any direction and are safer for use indoors and in healthcare facilities.
These batteries are ideal for small UPS, emergency lighting, and wheelchairs.
Due to its dependable service and low maintenance, SLA battery types remain the preferred choice in healthcare facilities. The larger VRLA is frequently used as power backup for cell towers, data centers, banks, airports, and more.
Lithium
Lithium: The Next Generation of Power
State-of-the-art lithium batteries power the world's most sophisticated devices. Excellent performance with an oustanding power curve.
Flooded Lead Acid
Tried and True: Flooded Lead-Acid Batteries
Stay on the road with trusted power from Continental Battery Systems. Our most popular products for automotive and commercial use are often FLA batteries.
AGM
Next Generation batteries for traditional power applications
The elctrolyte in an AGM Battery is absorbed into sponges (Glass Mat Separators) making it non spillable. The sponges and the plates are tightly packed together inside a durable case. This results in a battery that is capable of withstanding shock and vibration better than its FLA counterparts. The separators also help to prevent sulfation and maximizes the surface area of the elctrolyte which provides a boost in overall power and performance.
A Guide to Low-Speed Electric Vehicles and Batteries
You’ve likely seen them zipping around: a small but mighty vehicle traversing airport corridors and tarmacs, luggage cart in tow. Or you may have spotted electric golf carts navigating large resorts or a tiny EV delivering food on the quiet side streets of your neighborhood.
How to Properly Store Batteries
As the seasons change, it may be time to take inventory of your warehouse battery supply. Keeping the shelves stocked with batteries is important, but knowing how to store them properly is also critical.
What’s the Difference Between a Deep Cycle Battery and a Regular Battery?
Before you start shopping for vehicle batteries, it’s important to know the differences between traditional batteries and deep cycle batteries, how they work and when to use them.
